Chest Imaging

Chest X-Rays:

Complete Spine Coverage:
  • Cervical Spine (Neck)

Abdominal X-Rays:

How Imaging Works

01. Registration & Check-in

Present your identification and any relevant medical records at reception.

02. Preparation

Our radiographer will explain the procedure and help you prepare:
  • Remove metal objects (jewelry, belts, phones)
  • Change into examination gown if needed
  • Positioning instructions

03. Imaging

  • Quick, painless procedure (usually 5-15 minutes)
  • Multiple views may be taken
  • You may need to hold your breath briefly

04. Results

  • Images reviewed by our radiologist
  • Report prepared with findings
  • Results sent to your referring doctor

Preparation Guidelines

General X-Rays (Chest, Limbs, Spine):
- No special preparation needed
- Wear comfortable, loose clothing
- Remove metal jewelry and accessories
Abdominal X-Rays:
- May require fasting for 6-8 hours
- Follow specific instructions from staff
Barium Studies:
- Fasting required (usually 8-12 hours)
- Detailed preparation instructions provided
- Allow 2-3 hours for the procedure
